Paul started playing the guitar at the age of ten receiving lessons from Philip Woodfield and Chris Susans gaining an ABRSM Grade 8 with distinction and winning the Burton Music Festival 1st prize in 1989.

Online Guitar Tutor
In 1990 Paul was personally invited to complete his studies with a four year performance diploma course by internationally renowned guitar maestro and pedagogue Gilbert Biberian (one time student of the great Ida Presti) at Trinity College of Music in London. At the college, Paul took part in master classes with many renowned guitarists including Alirio Diaz (one time student of Segovia), John Williams, Ricardo Iznaola, Paul Galbraith, Jonathan Leathwood and The Los Angeles Guitar Quartet. Paul also studied in the same guitar class as distinguished artists Clive Carroll, David Merrin and Alison Smith. After completing his studies Paul was awarded a DipTCL and won the Gertrude Norman Prize for an outstanding performance in his final recital exam.
Since leaving Trinity College, Paul has performed many public concerts throughout the UK and has given private recitals for many prestigious clients including, Soloman Brothers Merchant Bank, The Wallace Collection, Champeneys the London Club, the Covent Garden Festival and was invited to play at The Cafe Royale (London). Paul has performed the Five Preludes by Villa-Lobos on Polish national television and played the Guitar Quartet Op.18 by Francois Da Fossa recorded at the ambassador’s concert and broadcast on Kazakhstan state radio.
Paul’s main classical guitar repertoire consists of the great music from the classical guitar repertoire and follows in the footsteps of Andres Segovia and Narciso Yepes. This programme includes music by: Joaquin Turina, Francisco Tarrega, Fernando Sor, Isaac Albeniz, Joaquin Malats, Dionisio Aguado and Antonio Jose.
Paul also plays electric lead guitar in: Rough Justice, a heavy rock group covering the likes of Van Halenand Led Zeppelin, and lead guitar in The Parlophones, Brighton’s premiere 1960’s cover band.

We offer a 30-minute trial lesson at a discounted rate, allowing you to meet one of our friendly tutors and experience an online music lesson.

Are there performance opportunities?
Absolutely! We offer students the opportunity to perform in our summer and Christmas concerts. Hundreds of guests from around the world gather online to watch the show, which is produced to the highest quality.
The concerts are quickly becoming one of our most prestigious events and create great excitement and anticipation for each of our students!
Which styles of music do you teach?
We teach all styles of music, including rock, pop, jazz, blues, country, folk and classical! During your discovery call, we will aim to match you with one of our tutors who will best meet your needs.
Which days and times are available for lessons?
Our tutors offer different days and times of availability. Each of them, however, can provide daytime, after school and evening slots, with some even having weekend availability too! During your discovery call, we will ask you for your lesson time preference and match you with the tutor who best meets your needs.
How often should I take lessons?
The majority of our students typically have one lesson per week. A week between classes usually allows enough time for students to practice their pieces before their next session. Fortnightly lesson options are also available for students who prefer more time to practice their material.
